Optometrist

Dr. Ana L. Salinas earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas–Pan American in 1989 and went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1993. She is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and has proudly served the community since beginning her career at Hammond Vision Center following graduation.

​​​​​​​Dr. Ana L. Salinas earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas–Pan American in 1989 and went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1993. She is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and has proudly served the community since beginning her career at Hammond Vision Center following graduation.

With over three decades of experience, Dr. Salinas is committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages. She believes in building lasting relationships with her patients and takes the time to ensure each individual understands their eye health and treatment options.

Dr. Salinas is a member of the Rio Grande Valley Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association, staying current with the latest advancements in optometry to provide the highest standard of care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Salinas enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She is an active member of St. Anne Catholic Church and an adult leader for the Linn–San Manuel 4-H Club, where she enjoys supporting youth and community programs. In her free time, she loves sewing and quilting. Her dedication to service extends beyond her practice, reflecting her commitment to caring for others both professionally and personally.

Dr. Claudia Medina graduated from Texas A&M University in 1997 and the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2004.  She is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist and has special interests in ocular disease, contact lenses and myopia management and is dedicated to providing the best quality eye care to her patients. 

​​​​​​​Dr. Claudia Medina graduated from Texas A&M University in 1997 and the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2004.  She is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist and has special interests in ocular disease, contact lenses and myopia management and is dedicated to providing the best quality eye care to her patients. 

Dr. Medina is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association and the Rio Grande Valley Optometric Association.  She is a board member of the Hidalgo County 4-H Foundation and volunteers with the Linn San Manuel 4-H Club and Edinburg FFA. She is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and enjoys spending time with her family.

Dr. Garza is a licensed optometric physician committed to providing comprehensive, personalized eye care for patients of all ages. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas–Pan American in 2015 and went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in 2019.

​​​​​​​Dr. Garza is a licensed optometric physician committed to providing comprehensive, personalized eye care for patients of all ages. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas–Pan American in 2015 and went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in 2019. She has special interests in contact lenses, dry eye management, and myopia control, and is passionate about using advanced technology to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Dr. Garza is a proud member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and the Rio Grande Valley Optometric Society. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, attending workout classes, going for walks, and reading.

Dr. Amanda Salinas graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in May 2025. Dr. Salinas is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist dedicated to providing comprehensive, personalized eye care for patients of all ages.

​​​​​​​Dr. Amanda Salinas graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in May 2025. Dr. Salinas is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist dedicated to providing comprehensive, personalized eye care for patients of all ages.

Dr. Salinas has special interests in dry eye management, myopia control, and specialty contact lenses. She is passionate about incorporating advanced technology into her practice to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and to ensure the best possible outcomes for her patients.

Outside the office, Dr. Salinas enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and staying active through group fitness classes. She is currently working toward earning her Pilates instructor certification and loves exploring new restaurants and experiences whenever she can.
